Overstock.com Product Submissions
- You submit product content to Overstock.com through the CommerceInterface, multichannel retail platform.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of product content and will bear the shipping costs associated with misrepresented or defective item issues.
- Overstock.com maintains a uniform copy style. Their editing staff screens all product content before products appear on their website.
- You must adhere to image (650 x 650 pixels minimum) and copy requirements.
- You must allocate inventory for products being sold on Overstock.com.
- You can adjust inventory quantities manually or automatically via the CommerceInterface platform.
- This supplier program is separate from the Overstock.com auctions program.
Overstock.com Pricing
- Supplier negotiates with Overstock.com for cost (For full-service, managed solutions, CommerceInterface will handle this on your behalf). Retail pricing is subject to Overstock's discretion.
- Retail prices for your products at Overstock.com must be lower or competitive to prices on your website (if applicable) and any other retail channels you use.
- You can submit product with or without shipping included. If you're using Overstock.com's shipping account, you will need to provide a sales price without shipping. If you would like to use your shipping account, it's important that you add shipping to the price when submitting for approval.
- If you use Overstock.com's UPS, ABF, or FedEx account number, Overstock.com bears the cost of the freight, which, through their ecommerce shipping solution platform, they add to the price of the product before adding their margin.
- Whether you ship on your account or on Overstock.com's account, you are the shipper of record and are responsible for filing lost or damaged shipment claims.

Overstock.com processes all credit card transactions and absorbs the cost of the associated processing fees. They also assume order fraud liability risk.

Overstock.com Shipping Solutions
- Although standard shipping is via ground service, Overstock.com also offers expedited shipping on products and you are expected to fulfill orders accordingly.
- If you ship on your own account, Overstock.com will pass 90% of the expedited shipping fee on to you to help cover the cost to expedite the order. The 90% coupled with the shipping cost you have already added to the price should cover expedited shipping.
- You must include an Overstock.com branded packing slip with all orders shipped on behalf of Overstock.com. You can export these branded packing slips from the CommerceInterface platform.
- You may not include marketing or promotional information regarding your company with any order shipped on behalf of Overstock.com.
- You are responsible for shipping orders and transmitting accurate tracking information to Overstock.com within two business days of the order date. This process can be done manually or automatically via the CommerceInterface platform. LTL orders are allowed 10 business days.
- If you cannot meet the shipping deadline, you must notify Overstock.com as quickly as possible so that Overstock.com can communicate with the customer and process a canceled order, if necessary. Please note that canceled orders get assessed a fee.
- Failure to comply with the standard Supplier Program Agreement including but not limited to, consistent late shipments, frequent short ships, invalid tracking and poor communication with Overstock.com customer care staff is cause for account termination.
- Overstock.com utilizes a scorecard to measure service level performance. You will receive your scorecard on a bi-weekly basis and should work closely with your CommerceInterface account manager to address any problem areas.
Overstock.com Returns Policy
- Overstock.com will accept most new and unopened items within 45 days of the original ship date for a full refund. (Overstock.com externally advertises a 30-day return period). All returned items will be inspected and awarded a partial refund if opened or used.
- Returns sent back after 30 days (45 days, officially) are subject to a refund of up to 80% of the item's value.
- Electronics returns must be initiated within 20 days of the purchase date by the customer. The return must arrive within 30 days of purchase. Returns that have been opened, used or returned late are subject to a refund of up to 70% of the item total.
- Pre-paid return shipping labels are issued to customer for non-buyer's remorse returns (returns caused by supplier mistake), the cost of which is deducted from your account.
- The customer may assume all return shipping costs for returns initiated due to buyer's remorse.
- Only partial refunds are given for returns after 45 days.
Payment to Your Account
Overstock.com remits the agreed upon per item price for your products sold. Overstock.com remits bi-weekly payments within two (2) business days of the 1st and 16th of each month, under net 30 terms (average net 22 terms).
For example, orders shipped confirmed from the 1st to the 15th of the month are paid on the 1st of the following month, and orders shipped confirmed from the 16th to the 31st of the month are paid on the 16th of the following month.
